Family and community partnerships are at the forefront of the Bennett’s Mill Middle School Title I Program. Student and Parent Support Teacher Melanie Holt has been reaching out to a number of local businesses to discuss unique ways to support students, and Pastor Tony Jennings of Southside Church came through in a major way.
Members of Southside Church purchased and bagged popular snack items for the students, which included cards, pictures, and notes of encouragement from local families. Those items were delivered by Pastor Jennings and several church members, and the Bennett’s Mill Student Ambassadors were there to assist with the retrieval.
The partnership is extra special for a number of staff members and students who attend Southside Church in Fayetteville.
