The Crocodiles are running together towards a goal. With Girls on the Run, Cleveland Elementary students are getting active and developing life skills.

Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision making skills. The club meets for 90 minutes twice a week where they work through lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development to enable team members to adapt to whatever comes their way.

At the end of the season, the team completes a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion. It is open to girls in grades 3-5.

“The girls love the running and bonding time with each other,” said teacher Chrissy Konvicka. “I hope they take away healthy habits and ways to spread positivity within themselves and to others.”
