Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger visited the Fayette County Elections and Voter Registration Office on June 14. Raffensperger spoke to an audience of Elections and Voter Registration staff as well as staff from the town of Tyrone and city of Peachtree City.
“I want to thank the Secretary of State for taking the time out of his incredibly busy schedule to come to our elections office,” Brian Hill, Director of Elections and Voter Registration, said. “He offered kind words expressing how great of a job and service we offer the citizens of Fayette County. I always say we have the best election officials in the State of Georgia. They work long days with little rest to provide our citizens with clean and fair elections,” he said.
”Of course, none of this is possible without the leadership of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners, County Manager, the Elections Board, and my fellow Fayette County Departments that help and support my office,” Hill said.
I’m sure he didn’t come to install the upgrades to the Dominion machines that are way past due- that he said aren’t going to get done until after the 2024 election.
We need the cost savings and the security of paper ballots.
