Fayette County deputies, including one of the four-legged variety, collaborated on an arrest that resulted in a considerable amount of contraband and a long list of criminal charges.
According to a spokesman for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic stop was conducted May 9 just before 1 a.m. on Hwy. 85 and Promenade Parkway in Fayetteville. The sergeant who made the stop requested K-9 Axe and his deputy handler at the scene as well.
A sweep of the car by Axe yielded a positive narcotics alert. Among the items recovered from the vehicle were a pipe with narcotic residue inside it, 26 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of MDMA — known as Ecstasy — a digital scale with narcotic residue on it, multiple cards containing narcotic residue on them, and a Glock handgun.
Qaadir Brown, 37, of Riverdale was taken into custody at the scene. According to officials, he was charged with three traffic offenses, possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a crime, possession of amphetamines, possession and sale of cocaine, possession/use of drug related objects, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Mr. Brown…they saw you coming and now you are charged in a county that doesn’t play. You may say bye bye for many years if convicted.
