Mike Seaver is coming to the Bubble.
Kirk Cameron, actor, writer, and producer who is known by millions from the 1980’s hit sitcom Growing Pains, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the Konos Academy Gala on April 15 at the Crowne Plaza in Peachtree City, Ga.
Cameron currently produces faith-based entertainment including films such as Fireproof, television shows, and podcasts. He is also the author of a recent children’s book titled As You Grow, which teaches biblical principles and character.
A member of the gala planning team shared, “As a homeschool dad himself, we couldn’t have selected a more perfect keynote speaker. It’s a bit surreal to have him speaking on our behalf, and we can’t wait to hear his message.”
In addition to Cameron as the guest speaker, attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in a live auction where trips, events, experiences, and other exciting items will be auctioned off.
Money raised from the event will go toward the construction of a multi-use facility that will provide 19 classrooms as well as an auditorium / gymnasium.
“Since 2020, we’ve seen a stark rise in families desiring to homeschool their children. With over 400 students now enrolled for the upcoming school year, a multi-use facility will allow Konos to better serve our existing families and the community at large,” stated a member of the school’s development team.
Konos Academy is an accredited private school located in Tyrone, Ga. and serves homeschool families throughout Fayette and Coweta counties and beyond.
