The Eagles soared to the top. Flat Rock won a thriller over Rising Starr, 41-38, to claim the county middle school girls basketball championship.

The champion Eagles are Madison Reckley, Aundrea Gibson, Morghan Reckley, Jaida Hatcher, McKenzie Paul, Jaylah Jones, Malea Bridges, Lauryn Ferguson, Destin Qualls, Anirah Hill, Kylah Green, and Khloe Williams.

They are coached by Cole Jackson.

“Winning the championship was an incredible feeling. The girls had been working so hard all season long, and it was amazing to see all of the hard work pay off,” said Coach Jackson. “It was a special year, as both our 7th and 8th grade teams went undefeated, and we were able to cap the season off with a dramatic ending in a very close, back-and-forth championship game.”
