Teacher and club sponsor Jennifer Sullivan presents a check for $1,250 to Toys for Tots raised by Sandy Creek High National Beta Club members.

The Patriots helped to make the holidays a little bit brighter. Sandy Creek High National Beta Club members led the push to raise and donate $1,250 to the Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots program this season.

Continuing a yearly tradition, they asked classmates, businesses, friends, and family to contribute to purchasing toys for families in need. While Toys for Tots often receives thousands of toys for young children, they don’t get enough for the 10-13 age range, so the Sandy Creek National Beta Club members set them as their focus. The club members sold $1 paper trains to raise money for that group, raising a whopping $1,250 when all was said and done.
