The state knows what we’ve known for years: The Fayette County High marching band is one of the best!

The Tigers, under the direction of Dr. Myra Rhoden, are one of three winners of the Great Atlanta Band Challenge, which comes with a generous $10,000 prize they will use towards uniforms and equipment. With nearly 100,000 votes, they were also the top overall vote-getter.

The Tigers’ featured performance came from the Warner Robins Heart of Georgia Invitational where they were named Grand Champions for their show “Both Sides.”

The Greater Atlanta Band Challenge is sponsored by 1800 Truck Wreck and the Witherite Law Group.
