While the fire-damaged main building of the Peachtree City Walmart remains closed and under reconstruction, the company has announced a mobile pharmacy will be available for the store’s drug store customers.
“While we remain closed, we’re happy to announce the arrival of our mobile pharmacy called “Big Blue.” Once operational, our health and wellness team will be able to serve customers’ pharmacy and vision needs from the store’s parking lot,” according to Ashley Nolan, senior manager, corporate communications, Walmart Media Relations.
“In addition, we will continue working with our Newnan location to temporarily manage our customers’ shopping and pharmacy needs,” Nolan said in an email to The Citizen.
And when will the big store re-open?
“As you know, our Peachtree City store has been recovering from an arson on August 24th. The fire caused extensive damage and we are still assessing losses and developing a timeline for reopening. This will obviously take time, but we are making progress daily,” Nolan wrote.
“We appreciate the community’s patience and look forward to sharing more on the opening of Big Blue in the coming days,” Nolan said.
