A central Fayette County teen was arrested June 27 after threatening his mother with a knife and having to be restrained by his father as the son attempted to force his way into a bedroom where his mother was located.
Ibrahim Dayisi, 19, was charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespass, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Sheriff Barry Babb said it was reported that Dayisi and his mother that morning had been involved in a dispute, with Dayisi threatening his mother with a knife.
At one point, the mother was in a bedroom, with Dayisi damaging the bedroom door as he attempted to get into the room, Babb said.
Dayisi’s father intervened and restrained him, and deputies were called to the scene, said Babb.
There were no injuries reported.
