Public hearings set for proposed 2023 budget

The Fayette County Board of Education will hold two public comment sessions for the proposed 2023 fiscal year budget. Meetings are scheduled for May 23, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and June 13 at 11:30 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the school district’s central office located at 205 LaFayette Avenue Building A, Fayetteville, Georgia.

The purpose of these meetings is to provide the opportunity for public input on the proposed budget. The proposed budget will be available for public review on the district’s website starting on Monday, May 23, 2022.

These meetings may also be viewed on the school system’s website, www.fcboe.org. On the home page of the website, choose “Board Mtg Recordings” in the Quick Links blue section in the bottom right corner. Next, select “Live Stream on Meeting Days” on the left hand side of the page. The live stream meeting option is for viewing only. Public comments during the meeting must be made in person.

The Fayette County Board of Education is scheduled to adopt the final budget at the June 27, 2022 board meeting at 7:00 PM.
