0The Shoe of Fame is filled with the names of brave Bears who accepted the “Tie Your Shoes Challenge.”
Every Robert J. Burch Elementary 1st grader was tasked to learn how to tie their shoes over spring break, and those who were successful earned a walk on the red carpet and the chance to sign their name to the Shoe of Fame.
First grade teacher Linda Barkoot was proud to see the students learn something that will carry with them the rest of their lives.
“We hope students learn a life skill, build confidence, and be independent.”
