They love to get creative with their learning at Peachtree City Elementary. Fourth graders in computer science class have been studying 3D design, and they put their newfound knowledge to use by making their own bubble wands.

Using the website Tinkercad.com to design, students printed their creations on the class’s 3D printer and put them to the test. Some wands made lots of small bubbles, some made big ones, but everyone had fun!

“All of our students worked creatively and persistently through the entire design process,” said technology teacher Caroline Mrizek. “With 3D design, it forces students to exercise their spatial reasoning and to recognize that making mistakes is part of learning. Working through those mistakes to produce a tangible product creates a powerful sense of achievement and growth.”
