Another successful SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference is in the books for Sandy Creek High, with the Patriots racking up a slate of strong finishes.

Caleb Dykes won gold in both Pin Design and SkillsUSA GA Pin Design, and he will advance to the National Leadership & Skills Conference.

The duo of Jawanza Blue and Sidney Patterson won gold in 3D Visualization & Animation and also will advance to Nationals.

Abby Paver claimed a silver medal for 2nd place in T-Shirt Design.

Sandy Creek SkillsUSA was named a Gold Chapter of Distinction for the 8th consecutive year, one of just six chapters in Georgia. Their chapter will be submitted to Nationals for Model of Excellence consideration.

Club sponsor Jeff Dykes was pleased to see his team perform under pressure.

“Our students did a great job stepping out of their comfort zones, seizing opportunities, and sharpening/demonstrating their skills while also having fun and building team spirit!”
