A night of firsts tonight at the Peachtree City Council.
Georgia Supreme Court Justice Carla McMillian — who lives in Tyrone — will administer the oath of office to Peachtree City’s second-ever (and consecutive) woman mayor, Kim Learnard.

Learnard has served two prior terms as a member of the council.
The three represent a new voting majority on a council that regularly produced unanimous 5-to-0 votes on most items before them for several years.
Missing from the dais tonight are Vanessa Fleisch, term-limited after two terms as mayor and previous service as a council member, two-term member Terry Ernst, and one-term member Kevin Madden. Madden lost to first-timer Caola in the November city election, and Ernst ran unsuccessfully for mayor.

Please paint over the horrible flowers painted on the Best Buy tunnel.
This is not an urban city town.
Whoever funded and agreed to this it was a horrible decision.
If you like that and want to turn PTC into an urban city feel then you get what comes with that!!!!!!
Odd take..
Congratulations to all. Looking forward to ongoing and increasing collaboration through diversity to continue to keep PTC special.
