The Panther pilots can’t wait for their careers to take flight. The Starr’s Mill Aviation Club recently visited Delta TechOps to learn about the many different careers in aviation.

Participating club members were joined by parents, of which several are Delta pilots. Bryce Richardson’s father, who is a pilot, worked with the wife of a Starr’s Mill teacher who works at TechOps to organize the meeting.

Delta TechOps is the largest airline maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider in North America.

“We want to show another side of the airline industry to the students. Without maintenance, pilots wouldn’t be flying,” said Aviation teacher Mike Meyer. “The reactions we got from the students were very positive, and they had a great experience.”
