A Peachtree City boy was struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon while trying to cross MacDuff Parkway. The 10-year-old was conscious and alert when life-flighted to an area children’s hospital, police said Monday.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said the accident occurred during the mid-afternoon hours along MacDuff Parkway near Franklin Ridge Drive on the city’s west side.
Hyatt said the boy was on a scooter and trying to cross MacDuff Parkway when he was struck by a car.
The 10-year-old was alert and conscious, and was life-flighted to an area children’s hospital, said Hyatt.
Hyatt said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperative with the investigation.
