Peachtree City Elementary was transported to many of the most breathtaking national parks on Junior Ranger Day

From the Everglades to Death Valley and many other points around the map, Peachtree City Elementary was transported to the most breathtaking national parks on Junior Ranger Day.

For Junior Ranger Day, 3rd grade enrichment students selected a national park, then created a slideshow, decorated a trifold, built a 3-D visual, and made a brochure to share all the information collected during their research. Each child also wrote to the park ranger at their national park to ask specific questions, and most received a thoughtful response to their letters.

It all culminated in Junior Ranger Day where they presented their parks research to their peers and parents. The project helped students gain research, paraphrasing, and presentation skills.

Each person visiting the students’ displays was inspired to visit a national park as soon as possible!
