The Eagles are invested in beautifying their school. When the Inman Elementary Garden Committee invited students to participate in a fall planting party, the 5th graders were eager to help.

The activity tied in perfectly with their lessons about plant classifications.

“We were able to explore and compare plant structures and systems that help us classify them into groups,” said teacher Allison Jones. “Students asked questions, connected their learning, and had fun!”

It’s just the beginning of the fun for the Eagles with the green thumbs.

“Students loved this hands-on experience and are eager to volunteer again in the future,” said Jones. “Students will continue to explore gardening in the coming weeks and months, and we are excited to offer activities and create lessons that are closely aligned with our specific learning targets.”
