This upcoming Sunday, Oct. 10, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. the Fayette County branch of the NAACP (Branch 506A) will be hosting a Candidate Meet & Greet at Shamrock Park in conjunction with the Fayette Chamber of Commerce.
The event will include all three candidates for Tyrone City Council Post 4 — Danny Dolan, Taiwo O. Idowu, and incumbent Gloria Furr — in the upcoming Nov. 2 Fayette County Municipal Elections.
They will be presenting their platforms as well as answering questions directly from constituents. This is an opportunity to get to know more about what these candidates have to offer the Town of Tyrone and what their plans are once they win their post.
In addition, the NAACP and Fayette Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Meet & Greet events for the Fayetteville candidates on Oct. 16 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and for Peachtree City candidates Oct. 24 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. With less than a month until the election, if you haven’t figured out who you’re voting for, then now is the time.
