There’s no reason to stop reading when school’s out for summer, and one school is making sure students have easy access to lots of good reads. Every Wednesday evening over the summer, Oak Grove Elementary’s library opens for two hours for their students (and rising 6th graders) to check out books.
Open library nights have also brought out special guests to meet the readers like Oak Grove’s new principal, Chris Riecke, and new counselor, Nisha Bradley.
Open library nights have been a hit, with dozens of books checked out each week.
