A group of third graders at Oak Grove Elementary are math facts masters!

Using Reflex Math, an online program purchased by the Oak Grove PTO, students work at their own pace to “master” math facts and focus on math fluency. Seven students, Tiana Corley, Owen Cote, Ryo Fujita, Ella Harper, Lisa Kozawa, Grady McSpadden, and Samuel Strothers, have been dubbed “Math Facts Masters” by reaching 100% fluency in Reflex Math.

“We are using this as our means of measuring their mastery of multiplication and division facts instead of the old-fashioned timed tests,” said teacher Brittany McCullough.

To celebrate their achievement, they were awarded Math Facts Masters shirts made by their teachers, and they were featured on their school’s morning announcements.
