On February 20, Liza Greenberg, a local Fayette county teen, was crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA.
Liza is 19 years old and is a graduate of Trinity Christian School and has lived in Fayette County for 18 years. She is currently in her freshman year at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA. Liza is an elementary education major and hopes to be able to teach second grade one day.
She has been involved in pageantry since she was in the second grade. She won Fayette County’s Miss Pride twice, as well as other local pageants. She also won an international title in 2015 with Royal Miss International.
This was her third year competing in Miss Georgia Teen USA. Her first year she made top 15, her second year she was 1st runner up, and this year her ultimate goal was reached and she took home the crown.
Liza wants other young girls to know that just because you do not succeed the first time, to not let go of your dream. You simply need to refocus and put your best self forward and try, try again. She hopes that her perseverance will inspire other younger girls to shoot for the moon and to continue to challenge yourself until you fulfill your dreams.
She truly can’t wait to get out into her community and represent the state of Georgia. She is available for appearances and speaking engagements through http://missgeorgiausa.com. Liza will go on to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA in November.
