An East Point man had his vehicle hijacked during the early morning hours of June 19 while at the intersection of Planterra Way and Ga. Highway 54 in Peachtree City. The man was forcibly removed from his vehicle by a male who then drove the hijacked vehicle from the scene. The vehicle was located hours later in Pike County.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said the incident occurred at approximately 2:12 a.m. while the East Point resident was at the intersection of Planterra Way and Hwy. 54 West.
The victim told officers he was forcibly removed from the vehicle by an unknown black male who snatched him out of the car, entered his vehicle and drove away, Hyatt said.
The vehicle owner was not injured and no weapons were used in the incident, said Hyatt.
Hyatt said the car was recovered hours later in Pike County at approximately 6 a.m.
Runner on McIntosh Tr. this afternoon at 3:40 was scared out of his shorts by a white MB from Clayton County (big surprise). He was crossing McIntosh and was almost wiped out by a speeding white MB from Clayton Co. Seconds before this, the teen or immature driver passed me on the RIGHT using the turn lane into Huddelston Elementary as a passing lane – again on the right side of my car going about 60 mph. His dramatic skidding stop when he saw the jogger in the crosswalk was much too close.
Since Cal will not let me out him with photo or full license plate number on here, I will tell you all that I am forwarding that to the police and in case the little twerp’s parents who probably own the car are interested, the plate number starts with RS and ends in 8 (again Clayton County – a white Mercedes small size). I followed him north on 74 past at least 5 traffic cameras I know of and chances are he did some dangerous driving after that.
I hope the kid’s parents ground him for a year or two. Killing a runner in a crosswalk while speeding should be a serious crime. I’m sure he’s laughing about this with his girlfriend (big nose, some acne scars and drinking from a red cup). Maybe the car belongs to her parents.
