A Brooks man has been charged with child molestation involving a juvenile known to him.
James H. Williams, 74, was charged with one count of child molestation, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies on June 16 at approximately 5:49 p.m. were dispatched to a Brooks residence.
The incident in which Williams was allegedly involved pertained to a juvenile he knew, and occurred at a residence in Brooks on March 1.
Based on an investigation at the scene, Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail.
Bond was set at $27,720, Babb said.
