Peter Cruder, 79, of Peachtree City passed away April 10, 2020. Peter was born November 13, 1940 in Greensburg, PA to the late Michael and Mildred Cruder.
Pete grew up in Western Pennsylvania where he learned his love to fix things working with his dad. It was those times where Pete found his passion for working on cars. If it was building his own cars or working on his cousin Bob’s drag racing car, “The Wild Mouse,” a 1955 Chevy.
Pete chose to serve in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy, he decided to turn his passion to working on airplanes and became an A&P mechanic. He started his career with Eastern Airlines and then moved on to Northwest Airlines.
If you knew Pete, there was a good chance he fixed something for you. In retirement, there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family, watching Spencer play soccer, and working on his hotrods. He was a member of the American Legion and Georgia Outsiders car club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marion and Mildred; and brother, John. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, David (Erica) Singler of Peachtree City; grandson, Spencer Singler of Peachtree City; brothers-in-law; Sonny Danjebich and Tony Slongo, both of Greensburg, PA; brother-in-law Steve (Mary Jo) George of San Antonio TX; sister-in-law Lynn (Phil) Marinello of Irwin PA; mother-in-law Leona Hensler of Adamsville PA.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
