Total test-confirmed cases statewide: 7,314, which is 667 more than the previous day’s number of 6,647, an increase of 10%. (“Today’s significant increase in cases is in part due to additional laboratories reporting to DPH, and also improvements in electronic reporting from other laboratories,” DPH said.)
Statewide deaths: 229, an increase of 18 fatalities over the previous day’s 211, which is 8.5% higher than the April 5 report

Total coronavirus tests: 31,274 by private and state labs, which represents 3,442 (12.3%) more tests than the 27,832 tests one day earlier.
Total positive tests: 7,314 so far with all testing, a positive confirmation rate of 23.3% of the total tests administered. Roughly 1 out of every 4 tests administered comes back with a positive reading on the presence of coronavirus.
