Local event looking for volunteers to join the fight against Alzheimer’s — 

WHAT: Peachtree City Walk to End Alzheimer’s New Volunteer Kickoff Party

The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Peachtree City and surrounding area residents to their volunteer kick-off party at Fayette Piedmont Hospital West Entrance in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Residents can learn how to get involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Peachtree City. Volunteer opportunities to suit all interests and skill sets while having fun with rewarding work to advance the cause. Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Alzheimer’s Association staff and volunteer event committee will be on hand to answer any questions about volunteer opportunities as well as how you can sign up for the event. The event will have raffle items available and light refreshments will be served.

Hundreds of Peachtree City and area, residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. In 2019, the Peachtree City Walk contributed to more than $96 million raised nationwide for care, support and research efforts for those impacted by Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Participants will learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony.
