Judy Walker and Wanda Cox are the featured artists in the curated March-April exhibit at the Peachtree City library Art Initiative. The exhibit opens March 3, 2020. The Art Sunday reception is Sunday, March 15, 3-4:45 p.m. at the Peachtree City Library, 210 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City, GA.
Judy Walker’s paintings have a zen-like quality. Her process uncovers patterns that change and flow from moment to moment. Walker began painting in her Colorado Springs home studying with Herman Raymond. She continued her studies in the Art Center College, Pasadena, CA, majoring in illustration. Walker has been a graphic designer, photographer and a journalist. She lives in Serenbe, Chatt Hills, Ga. Her work can be seen at Dogwood Gallery, Tyrone, Ga, and Chatt Hills Gallery, Serenbe, GA.
Wanda Cox, Carrollton, Ga, experimented for 5 years with watercolors to obtain her large format, textured paintings. She successfully developed a depth not usually found in watercolors.Cox also works in oil and pastel. She is an award wining artist and teaches at the Carrollton Arts Center and in Mableton, GA. She is represented by Dogwood Gallery, Tyrone, Ga, and the Raiford Gallery, Roswell, GA.
The Peachtree City Library Art Initiative is in its 5th successful year bringing quality and diverse fine art to the community. The Fayette Society of Fine Art (SOFA), Newnan-Coweta Art Association (NCAA),and the Peachtree City Photography Club will be displaying work throughout the library in dedicated spaces as well. Exhibits change every two months.
