In December, members of Philoptochos Society (Friends of the Poor) of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City honored first responders by presenting Greek pastries from the recent bake sale. Thanks to outstanding community support, this year’s sale netted more than expected. All proceeds are used to support national and local Fayette and Coweta charities such as Fayette Samaritans and Promise Place. In photo at top, church members present sweets to the Peachtree City Police Department Chief Janet Moon (R) and Assistant Chief Stan Pye (L). In bottom photo, the goodies go to the Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Department. Photos/Cynthia Cromartie.
