Seventh-grader Annabella Tai from Crossroads Christian School in Tyrone received an award at the Georgia state capitol on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 for her essay, “What Water Means to Me.”

Each year the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District sponsors a Middle School Essay Contest on water use and conservation. The contest is open to students in grades 6th – 8th. A winner is chosen from the city of Atlanta, and each of the 11 participating metro-Atlanta counties. Tai won for students competing in schools in Fayette County. Tai’s English teacher is Mrs. Tessa Henson. Crossroads’ mission is to help students love God, love learning, and serve others.
