Students who are entering kindergarten, or are rising sixth graders, rising ninth graders, or are not currently registered to ride a school bus but would like to do so for the 2019-2020 school year, must register now. Fayette County Public Schools require students to register for transportation service if they plan to ride a school bus.

Parents of the students noted above have already received a message regarding school bus registration through the Infinite Campus (IC) messaging system. Parents are asked to check their IC account for the message and respond accordingly. It is important to get students registered for transportation now so that all students can be assigned to a school bus before the first day of school.

Current students who are not rising up to the next school level and are already registered to ride a school bus, do not have to register again. Additionally, students with exceptional needs do not have to register, parents will be contacted prior to the first day of school. New students enrolling in the school system for the 2019-2020 school year will complete their school bus registration at the time of enrollment.

Special permission students who are attending a school outside of their attendance zone, or students who live within a non-transport zone, are not eligible for school bus transportation.

Parents can change the riding status of their students at any time during the school year by contacting their schools’ front office or by emailing: [email protected]. Students who need to ride a school bus occasionally can obtain school bus passes from their schools’ front office.

All students who register for school bus transportation will receive an email with bus information prior to the beginning of school.
