The period of Oct. 19-26 came with two reported burglaries and two entering auto incidents in Peachtree City and unincorporated Fayette County.
An Oct. 24 report of an entered auto at a Den Creek Trail residence off County Line Road was taken by deputies, with the owner saying that cash was missing from the vehicle, said Sheriff Barry Babb.
The homeowner said the theft could have occurred on Oct. 22, given that a business cash deposit was brought home and left overnight in the unlocked vehicle, said Babb.
Babb said deputies were told that, on Oct. 23, the resident entered the vehicle but did not remember locking it. He then proceeded to the bank to make the deposit.
The resident said the business checks and deposit slip were in the bag, along with an amount of cash. What was not in the bag was the remaining cash for the deposit, Babb said.
