Go West, young black man!

It’s so sad to hear and see Americans (more specifically, black Americans) descend on Kanye West like a mob of zombies to satisfy democratic socialists who are not truly committed to the plight of black America.

Why is it that people of other ethnic backgrounds can say and think freely without backlash from their own demographic group? But, let a black man or woman in America be their own person, be a Republican/conservative, speak his or her own mind, stand up for their beliefs, principles and values or political views, and they are immediately attacked and condemned. Why?

It is because the Democrats and left-wing progressives have for decades systematically conditioned black people to believe that they are incapable of thinking for themselves: incapable of ideological independence; incapable of achieving economic power; and incapable becoming a political force. Blacks in America are the only ethnic group that the left has conditioned to be monolithic and have set the expectation that they are to remain so.

This all started with President Lyndon B. Johnson and his so-called “The Great Society” (social programs) which was nothing more than a political tactic to get blacks to vote for Democrats after 82 percent of Republicans vs. 78 percent of Democrats voted in the House to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964-1965.

In the Senate, the Republicans overwhelmingly supported it while Southern Democrats rejected it. Democrat Senator Robert C. Byrd (a known grand wizard of the KKK and a man whom Hillary Clinton claimed as her mentor) filibustered for 14 hours and 13 minutes in an effort to stop the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Surely this did not look good for the Democrats, so Johnson devised a plan. He said that his plan would keep blacks voting for Democrats for the next 200 years. The plan: give them free stuff. The game is still being played by Democrats today: free cell phones, free healthcare, free college … free, free, free.

What black America needs more than anything is to wake up and realize that freedom is not free. The fight to be free in yesteryears and holds true today involves more than taking handouts from liberals like Pelosi and Schumer who are political hacks (white millionaires) to whom the day-to-day life and struggles of a black person is truly of little value; but the vote that each black person possesses is of immense value.

Freedom is being able to speak your mind, set your goals and achieve your dreams. Only in America can you come from the bottom and reach the top if you believe in yourself and hold on tight to your faith.

It’s time to show that black Americans have enormous intellectual might and that we are free and independent thinkers and doers.

If you look deep into American history, you can’t help but uncover the fact that black Americans have made life-changing contributions to the growth, prosperity and expansion of this nation and the world with amazing inventions through endless research and development in science and medicine as well as in the arts.

We must not forget the countless achievements of black athletes in the world of sports. At this point, I dare anyone to tell me that I am not speaking the truth.

By the way, it is beyond the time for new leadership in black America. The “race-hustling era” must end and a new era of economic and political independence and individualism must begin. Time to say farewell to “self-ordained, snake oil-selling Reverends” who stuff their pockets with “blood-money”; who run over each other to get photo ops on the major news outlets.

Time to say goodbye to the self-proclaimed leaders who for few pieces of silver will cut back-door deals with the promise that they could and would deliver the black vote.

It is time to move forward to a place where every black man and black woman can stand tall and proudly say, (without fear of reprisal or attack from anyone), “I, too, am an American!” It is time for politicians on the left to know that you don’t own the black vote. Why? Because you don’t own what you have not earned.

Warning — when the progressives/socialists run out of free stuff in the end, the cost will be your freedoms.

  1. Very well put Tyrone. Now we have #BLEXIT, one of a growing number of movements within the black community of those that think for themselves. Unity may seem unreachable but it isn’t if we will all take a breath, choose restraint and civility, listen instead of shout or throw stones, and realize that none of us can have everything that we want. Life and governing is messy. Utopia is a lie no matter who offers it. But respect and kindness are something we can achieve right here.

  3. How sad to see an African-American so quickly forget those who sacrificed so dearly for his freedoms. I guess there will always be Uncle Toms, but it is still painful to see the local GOP make a fool of him.

        • Offensive “to you”. How perfect a explanation to why what is offensive has taken over common sense nowadays. When the self proclaiming moral police deem something truly offensive – they insist that it should be held by everyone and if not, then you are racist, bigot, old and white, etc. STF appears to assume that this word is only offensive to one person, and continues to show his hypocrisy.

    • Uncle Tom?? Good lord…the liberals will stoop to name calling and pulling the racist card at the drop of a hat. Those who sacrificed?
You mean like the nearly 1 million lives lost during the Civil War to end slavery….and we are the only nation to go to war over ending slavery. You mean like those many whites in the Abolitionist movement who dared speak out against slavery? You many those whites and jews who started the NAACP to help blacks gain a more equal foothold (which unfortunately today has become the NAACLP….Nat Asso. for the Adv of Colored Liberal People and a offshoot of the Democratic Party). You mean all those whites who marched in the Civil Rights marches and came south to register blacks to vote, and go killed for doing it? And yes all those blacks who sacrificed to, in the words of MLK, we can have a color blind society today, work hand in hand and put the past behind us instead of drumming up the racist card everytime an election comes around…

You talking about all those sacrifices I imagine…
