A Fayetteville man faces robbery charges in a June 25 incident at the Dollar General store in Fayetteville when he made off with cash after producing a note to an employee.

Scott A. Quinnell, 39, was charged with strong-arm robbery, according to Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Chad Myers.

Myers said the June 25 incident occurred at the Dollar General store on Ga. Highway 54 East, when Quinnell approached an employee and passed a note saying, “Give me all the money or I’ll shoot you.”

Myers said the employee complied, giving Quinnell approximately $200. Myers added that Quinnell did not produce a weapon.

Quinnell then left the store on foot and was spotted later by officers outside in a nearby apartment complex where he lives, Myers said.

Myers said Quinnell was subsequently identified by a store employee. Officers during a search of the apartment recovered the cash and the note.
