Wilton Otis Garrett, 87, of Senoia passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was born in Arlington, Ga. on January 19, 1931 to the late Marzene and Otis Garrett.
Wilton proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a pilot. He also retired from the State of Georgia in the Department of Human Resources. Wilton was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His legacy is that he always showed unconditional love for his family. He will be missed tremendously by his family and all who knew him.
Wilton was preceded in death by his wife, Rebekah Wilkes Garrett; his daughter, Madeline Garrett, and his parents.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Odom (Glen), Michael Garrett, Denise Wade (Mickey), Phillip Garrett (Karen), and Stephen Garrett (Wendy); ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Dorothy Jean Currie and Martha Ann Long.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgan Road, NW, Arlington, Ga.
