Mr. Johnnie Wayne Rodgers, age 61, of Sharpsburg, passed away June 18, 2018, at his residence.
Johnnie was born on June 10, 1957, in Big Spring, Texas, son of John Rodgers and the late Mary Patterson Rodgers. As a children’s/youth pastor, he mentored countless people throughout the years. He was a member of South Metro Ministries. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Rodgers; sons, Josh Rodgers and Austin Rodgers; granddaughters, Lexie and Paris; father, John Rodgers; siblings, Jimmie, Edna, Linda, Kay, Carl, Beverly, and Becky; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Sunday, June 24, from 4-7 p.m. at South Metro Ministries, 3935 Hwy. 34 East in Sharpsburg, Ga.
Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy. 54 W, Fayetteville is assisting the Rodgers family.
