James Alton Adams, 78, of Sharpsburg passed away April 29, 2018.

“Jim” was born in Miami, Fla. on September 25, 1939, to the late Fred Chandler and Hazel Adams. After graduating high school, Jim served four years in the United States Army under the 101st Airborne Division.  After his years of service, Jim moved to College Park, Ga. and then to Sharpsburg in 1980, where he resided until his passing.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita Grace Kennedy Adams.

He is survived by brother, Fred Adams; sister, Hazel Perkins; sister-in-law, Frances Wilcox (Sonny Casca); long time friend, Bill Clowers.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, Fayetteville.  Burial  took place at the Remembrance Garden at St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, Peachtree City, immediately following the service.
