The Fayette County Commission will be conducting two budget workshops outside of Fayetteville and is inviting the public to attend.
Commissioners and county government staff in preparation for the adoption of the FY 2019 budget will hold countywide community meetings in Fayetteville and Brooks.
The two meetings, initiated by Commissioner Charles Rousseau and the Board of Commissioners, provides citizens the opportunity to have input on spending priorities for the budget year.
The budget presentations will be conducted in both the north and south side areas of the county and will be held in addition to the required budget hearings.
The meeting dates and locations are:
• Thursday, May 3 at 6 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church-North Campus, located at 551 New Hope Road near Fayetteville.
• Tuesday, May 8 at 6 p.m. at the Town of Brooks Townhall, located at 961 Hwy. 85 Connector.
