Fayetteville is about to get its fifth roundabout. The newest one will be at the intersection of Veterans Parkway, Sandy Creek Road and Arthur Rank Avenue, one of the new entrances to Pinewood Forrest.

Similar to the first Pinewood Forrest roundabout a short distance to the south, the new roundabout will include lanes 12 feet in width.

Each side of the roundabout will include a safety zone 12 feet or greater in width for pedestrians. The interior of the roundabout will be approximately 100 feet in diameter.

The new roundabout will also featured a dedicated right-turn lane from southbound Sandy Creek Road onto Veterans Parkway, according to Pinewood Forrest representative Rick Halbert.

The cost of the roundabout is approximately $1.4 million, with Pinewood Forrest and Pinewood Atlanta Studios bearing the majority of the cost.

Fayetteville City Manager Ray Gibson said the city will contribute up to $430,000 from impact fees.

Halbert said the project is expected to be completed in June.
