The Aldi grocery store on Ga. Highway 85 North in Fayetteville is about to expand its footprint.
Members of the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 23 unanimously approved a proposed 1,951 sq. ft. expansion of the grocery store.
The expansion will result in the store increasing to 18,425 sq. ft.
The proposal came with a request to reduce the number of parking spaces from 81 to 77.
Planning staff based on a check of the customer flow during various shopping times indicated that the reduction was appropriate.
