Reverand Donald Feuerbach

Evergreen Church announces with great joy their new Lead Pastor, Reverend Donald Feuerbach. Reverend Feuerbach comes to Evergreen Church with a wealth of experience, having most recently served as Lead Pastor for Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. Pastor Feuerbach has also served as Lead Pastor for a church in Germantown, Tenn. as Associate Pastor for a church in Mount Pleasant, S.C., as a staff member for Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta under Rev. W. Frank Harrington, and he worked as an attorney for seven years in Vero Beach, Florida. Reverend Feuerbach received his Master of Divinity at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Reverend Feuerbach brings many gifts to Evergreen Church. His desire to make disciples of Jesus, care for those who are in pain, and lead them home was evident to the Pastoral Nominating Committee during the search process. Pastor Feuerbach shares the vision of Evergreen Church to be a ‘missional community’ where all believers are sent to serve the local and global community.

Reverend Feuerbach was spoken of very highly by friends, peers, and coworkers. “Don thinks well. He’s strategic, relates well to people, and is deeply passionate. He would be a good match for Evergreen Church,” said Dr. Dana Allin, Synod Executive for Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.

The pastor search process for Evergreen Church began in January 2017 when a Pastoral Nominating Committee was formed.  The members relied on God to guide their path which, with many qualified candidates, was not an easy one. The committee and church members, praying for discernment during the entire process, were led to call Reverend Feuerbach to serve Evergreen Church as Lead Pastor.

Committee member Al Gardner described Pastor Feuerbach as follows. “In Don I sensed a unique combination of strength and compassion, an exciting blend of experience and enthusiasm, and a genuine and energized love for our Lord.” Committee member Tia Cash said, “From the first time I heard Don preach, I was captivated. He has a teaching style that is encouraging and thought provoking.”

Reverend Feuerbach and his wife Mary Anne will be arriving at Evergreen Church just in time for the Christmas season. On Sunday, Dec. 3, he will preach his first sermon in the series, “Follow, A Journey Through Advent.”  For more information on Reverend Don and Evergreen Church, please visit EvergreenChurchGa.org or call the church office at 678-788-7374.
