Main Street Fayetteville has unveiled its Christmas ornament for 2017, which features a new rendering of the Old Fayette County Courthouse designed by artist and Main Street volunteer Nita McFarlin.

Ornaments are now on sale for $19 each at the Main Street Fayetteville Welcome Center, which is located on the ground floor of the Old Fayette County Courthouse; the Holiday-Dorsey-Fife Museum gift shop on the west side of the Courthouse Square; and Town Square Jewelers on the Courthouse Square.

This annual tradition of adding a new ornament to the series spans 15 years, and this is not the first time Georgia’s oldest courthouse has been featured.

“This year’s design goes back to the popular brass ornament format, but with a healthy splash of color,” said Downtown Development Director Brian Wismer. “Previous versions of the courthouse ornament have sold out and are no longer available, so Main Street Fayetteville decided to offer an ornament featuring this historic landmark once again.”Main Street Fayetteville has unveiled its Christmas ornament for 2017, which features a new rendering of the Old Fayette County Courthouse designed by artist and Main Street volunteer Nita McFarlin.
