The USATF Georgia Association’s annual state meet took place Nov. 11 at Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville. The PTC Flash, a local youth running club, had two state champions in the 9-10 boys division and 11-12 girls division.
Clark Thompson of Senoia came in first with a season personal best of 10:51 for 3k. Taylor Tarpley of Peachtree City finished first with a season PR of 11:02 for 3k.
Both athletes moved on to the regional meet along with 42 other Flash teammates, including the state runner-up 8U girls team: Aubrey Franklin, Genevieve Bryant, Ella Cuneo, Maddie Will, Nevaeh Sims, Danielle Therriault, Emma Magro, Caitlyn McFall, and Andi McQuade.
