Early voting for Peachtree City mayor, Council Post 3 starts Monday

Voters participating in the two runoff elections in Peachtree City can begin going to the polls as early as Nov. 27. The runoff election for mayor and the Post 3 council seat will be held Dec. 5.

Voters will choose between mayoral candidates, which include incumbent Mayor Vanessa Fleisch and former Councilman Eric Imker. Fleisch received 43.25 percent of the vote on Nov. 7 while Imker received 30.92 percent.

Also on the ballot for the Post 3 seat will be former Mayor Harold Logsdon and business owner Kevin Madden. Logsdon on Nov. 7 received 32.39 percent of the vote and Madden garnered 40.14 percent.

Fayette County Elections Supervisor Floyd Jones said Peachtree City residents can vote early at the Peachtree City Library adjacent to City Hall beginning on Nov. 27. Early voting will continue through Dec. 1 at the library, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

Runoff election day will be on Dec. 5, with all Peachtree City precincts open, Jones said.
