This month, Evergreen Church held their annual Blessing of the Quilts hosted by Comfort Quilters, one of their ministry partners.  The Comfort Quilters “wrapped” the Evergreen Sanctuary in 116 handmade quilts sewn so far this year. These quilts bring comfort, peace, and joy to their recipients: persons of need, those medically and emotional fragile in our local community, and other missions near and far. Evergreen Church prayed over the completed quilts soon to be distributed to those needing to be “wrapped” in love.

Our Evergreen Church Comfort Quilters have a mission to “create physical Christian comfort and remind those in need that Evergreen Church is praying for them.”  Reverend Tim Norton, Evergreen Church’s associate pastor, says “Jesus Christ often uses ordinary things to remind us of his extraordinary work that will undo all sin, death, disease, and disaster. These quilters have created beautiful works of art in the prayerful hope that any who receive one will be reminded of the presence of our God and the hope of Christ’s work. After all, it was Christ who said the poor, hungry, weepers, and mourners will be blessed in his perfect Kingdom.”

You can find the Comfort Quilters at Evergreen Church every Thursday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in room 307. Contact Evergreen Church at 678-788-7374 or visit EvergreenchurchGa.org for more information.
