Peggy Lane (Robinson) Bowers died on October 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 22 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Peachtree City, 208 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City, GA. The family will receive visitors at the church between 2 and 3 p.m. before the service. A burial service will follow for family and friends at White Oak ARP Church Cemetery, 2796 Gordon Rd., Moreland, GA.

Mrs. Bowers was born on November 21, 1929 in Columbus, GA and was the youngest of five daughters born to William and Ellen Robinson. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1947. She worked at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer where she met her late husband, David W. Bowers, a journalist with the newspaper. They were married on November 7, 1948.
Survivors include their four children, Bonnie (Dan) Helander, Peachtree City; Donna Bowers (Roger Wrenn), Ellicott City, MD; Larry Bowers, Lawrenceville, GA; Brett Bowers (Anji), Suwanee, GA. Grandchildren include Blake Helander (Marija), Falls Church, VA; Lisen Helander, Detroit, MI; Wesley Bowers, Lawrenceville, GA; Alexei Bowers, Anya Bowers and Ally Bowers, Suwanee, GA.
