Mr. Robert Allen Boldt, age 71, passed away at his home amongst family and friends on October 9th, 2017. Robert “Bob” was born on August 22, 1946 in Port Clinton, Ohio to parents Richard “Tip” Boldt and Helen Luchsinger Boldt along with his sister Barbara. Bob was preceded in death by both his parents and his wife Sharon Hemminger Boldt.

Survivors include both of his proud and loving sons Brian Boldt and Keith Boldt Sharpsburg, Ga.; his sister and Brother-in-law Barbara Boldt Bahs and Clarence Bahs of Nacogdoches, TX; mother-in-law, age 93, Edythe Stelter Hemminger of Oak Harbor, Ohio; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Barbara and Eugene Banky of Graytown, Ohio; Pat and Steve McLaughlin of Elmore, Ohio; and Gloria Krauss of Oak Harbor, Ohio; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob entered the Air Force in 1967 after attending Bowling Green University in Ohio. Before that he had met the love of his life Sharon on a double date and so began his life’s journey. Moving from bases in both Biloxi, Miss. and San Bernardino, Calif. While in California he witnessed the birth of his first son Brian. When he was discharged from the Air Force they moved back to Ohio where he witnessed Keith his second son’s birth.  Bob entered the work force at the Uniroyal Naugahyde factory with the help of a good friend. He was soon recognized for his outgoing personality and humor that led him to a sales job with Uniroyal. His new career path lead him and his family on a long and adventurous journey across the country with several moves to include Mishawaka, Ind., Jackson, MS, Fort Smith, Ark., Novi, Mich., Longmont, Colo. and Sharpsburg, Ga. While his work kept him busy he never lost sight of being a devoted husband and father.

While Bob was a devoted husband and father he was also a lot of things to many people. He never met a person that he did not immediately become friends with. He had an infectious personality like a combination of Chevy Chase and Tim Allen all rolled into one that everyone loved. Bob was a proud patriot and Air Force Veteran and was not afraid to let anyone know. He enjoyed life whether it was dancing in some country bar with his beautiful and amazing wife Sharon or riding his motorcycle with the Patriot Guard. Upon moving to Georgia he became a huge fan of NASCAR and would follow his favorite driver Tony Stewart religiously. Nothing Bob did in his life went totally unscripted and one would say his life was lived like the spread sheets that he used in his career. He was organized and meticulous about the things he approached either in life or at work.  He left behind so many that will miss his sense of humor and love of all things. He would ask that you remember those things about him and not be saddened with his passing, but enjoy the life that you have. He would ask that you look on the positive side of things, which is he is again on a double date and meeting the love of his life for the second time.
