A Newnan woman was charged with aggravated assault in connection with a June 10 incident at a Peachtree City residence.

Zyon L. Brock, 17, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and second degree criminal damage to property, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Matt Myers said the incident occurred after midnight on June 10 at a Kings Ridge Drive residence in the Wynnmeade area.

Brock and her male companion were outside the residence at the time of the incident and were arguing about alleged infidelity, said Myers.

Brock grabbed the man’s knife and threatened him, said Myers, adding that a third party was able to take the knife from her.

A short time later, Brock opened the man’s trunk, pulled out his rifle and pointed it at him, Myers said. Brock hid the rifle under the vehicle as officers arrived, Myers added.

Brock was transported to the Fayette County Jail.
