What story on GOP healthcare bill left out

The article “Ferguson votes for AHCA” in the May 10 issue of the Citizen left out important information. “This bill ensures that those with pre-existing conditions cannot be denied coverage …”

While true, it is also true that insurance premiums for those with pre-existing conditions will make insurance unaffordable for many.

It is also true that states can ask and receive a waiver so citizens in their states with pre-existing conditions will not receive coverage.

The article does not mention that seniors can be charged five times the premium of the general population.

There was no mention as to why a block grand for Medicare under the AHCA is a bad choice for Georgia.

If people are to make informed decisions, they must have all the facts and not only those that support one position.
